The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH), Major General AE Abubakar has applauded the activities of members of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) towards keeping the home front safe and ensuring the well-being of siblings of army personnel while their husbands are on national assignment. The commendation was made today 17 August 2023, when the Chairperson NAOWA 3 Division Chapter, Mrs Fibishola Abubakar paid a courtesy visit with her entourage to Headquarters 3 Division, Maxwell Khobe Cantonment Jos.

The GOC/Commander OPSH noted that NAOWA, apart from maintaining the home front, has also taken active part in the non-kinetic activities of the military, by providing immediate succor to communities affected by negative vices or those in dire need. He further commended NAOWA for its skill acquisition programmes and support to the Nigerian Army towards ensuring quality and affordable health and educational facilities for barracks and host communities. “The best way to keep our dependents away from negative vices is to engage them in meaningful ventures,” the GOC averred.
