SEN. MONGUNO FLAGS OFF HIS 2024 EMPOWERMENT DRIVE WITH 500 CONSTITUENTS.

Twenty-five million naira (N25,000,000.00) were disbursed to the participants.

We will continue to do more by way of providing dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of our people, and that is the primary reason we have been elected. Sen. Monguno Says.

In his quest to revive the economic downturn of his senatorial district, the Chairman Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, and Legal Matters, Dist. Sen. Barr. Mohammed Tahir Monguno has officially flagged off his 2024 empowerment programs with 500 participants.

2024 Phase One of the program officially commenced on Wednesday 10th and witnessed the closing ceremony of the Phase today Saturday 13th of January 2024. Critical stakeholders, party machinery, CTC chairmen, and political appointees among others were in attendance.

The participants received capacity-building training with the National Teachers’ Institute. The theme; ‘Youths In Education’. At the end of the program, each of the participants received a certificate of training and N50,000.00 as a starter pack. Accumulating to Twenty-Five Million Naira was distributed.

The representative of the NTI, Dr Yusuf Usman said,  “Education is the bedrock of any society, and Sen. Monguno stands the best among his colleagues, he puts all hands on desks to improve the social well-being of his constituents. On behalf of the NTI accept our total commitment to collaborate with your good office in achieving your objectives.”

Sen. Monguno in remarks said’ “Improving the well-being of the less privileged ones is a reward of hereafter, as such, I focused on empowering my constituents and bringing other dividends of democracy to their doorsteps. I want to seize this opportunity to thank the executive governor of Borno state, the people-oriented governor, H. E Prof. Engr Babagana Umara Zulum, mni, FNSE for his tireless efforts in bringing the loss of glory of our dear state and northern Borno senatorial district in particular. We remain eternally grateful for him and his administration.

 

We would continue to complement the efforts of His Excellency, who has been working round the clock to ensure that our people get the dividends of democracy and to ensure that our people return homes to pick up the pieces of their lives.

As such, we would continue to do more, we would double what we achieved in the past six months in the office where we empowered 9,180 constituents with N459.4m, distributed 500 computers, installed solar streetlights to the ten LGAs that I represent, scholarship to Secondary School students for SSCE and JAMB, Tertiary Institution students, employed 12 constituents in various federal MDA’s and many more.

As we officially flagged off the 2024 empowerment program with 500 beneficiaries, we will continue to do more by way of providing dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of our people in diversity, and that is the primary reason we have been elected.
