The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd has rolled out a novel set of measures to transform hydrocarbon operations a d boost oil production by its refineries.
The company implements the measures through its Production Monitoring Command Center (PMCC).
The measures are: Centralized Monitoring and Real-Time Tracking, by which the PMCC consolidates data from all operators, providing a unified and real-time view of hydrocarbon production and transport.
This measure ensures prompt identification of anomalies and minimizes unplanned disruptions.
Enhanced Decision-Making is another measure. This implies that by leveraging advanced analytics and integrating data, the PMCC equips stakeholders with actionable insights, enabling proactive planning, risk management, and improved operational efficiency.
NNPCL has also adopted Effective Maintenance Planning, through which the PMCC supports predictive and preventive maintenance, ensuring asset reliability and reducing downtime through coordinated tracking of maintenance activities.
Collaboration and Communication is another measure. Through this, the PMCC fosters seamless collaboration among stakeholders by providing a secure platform for data sharing and communication, enhancing problem-solving and operational efficiency.
