….Optimistic that Wadada, others will work for APC
Ahead of the March 11 governirship election, Barrister Labaran Magaji, who contested for the Nasarawa West senatorial ticket under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has assured that, there can never be any better choice among those seeking to be governor of Nasarawa State, than Engineer Abdullahi Sule.
Barrister Magaji made this known in a chat with journalists in Abuja, on Wednesday.
According to the legal luminary, though lots of emotions were exhibited during the February 25 presidential election, citizens of the state must prioritize the Nasarawa State agenda by ensuring that Engineer Sule is returned for a second term in office.
This is just as Magaji expressed optimism that, all those elected under the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), will work for the victory of the incumbent Governor.
He disclosed that, from his recent visit to Senator-elect, Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, he was confident that all the SDP elected members are returning to the APC and will work for the success of the APC.
“All those that were elected today in SDP, were at one point or the other members of the APC. When they go there, they only went there to seek for platform. But at no time have they left the family of APC.
“I want to assure you from my visit to senator-elect Senator Wadada, I am optimistic that all SDP elected members are returning back home, they tracing their way back home and they are all going to work for APC.
“In that regard, we have no fear at all. Nasarawa State has come to stay. Engineer A. A Sule has come to stay. I want to assure that all the reasonable and responsible stakeholders from the elites down to the common people, are now resolute, we have resolved to fight to ensure Engineer A. A Sule is returned the second time,” he stated.
Barrister Magaji however called on the people of the state, to go back and massively mobilize for the electorates to come out on March 11 to vote for Engineer Sule.
“I call on each and everyone of us across the state, people with good ambition for the state, people who have the interest of the state at heart, to go back to their locality. That is where they will show their relevance.
“Canvass support from the people and ensure that Engineer Abdullahi Sule is returned for the second term. That will now compliment the achievement that we have had at the Federal level where Nigerians decided to vote massively for President-elect, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu,” he added.
He noted that by electing Engineer Sule for a second term in office, Nasarawa State would have been keyed into the policy direction of the new Tinubu-led government that is yet to be formed.
“We are appealing to everyone, agreed a lot of sentiments were displayed in the last election, we knew what happened and so, it is justifiable anyway. But now, Nasarawa State should be the first on our agenda, let’s keep away all kinds of sentiments, all primordial inclinations, let’s look at project Nasarawa State so that all of us will be better for it in no distant time. This is my call for the people of Nasarawa State,” Barrister Magaji said.
On the victory of Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu at the presidential election, Barrister Magaji pointed out that, Tinubu is the first presidential aspirant that showcased his agenda which was well articulated, well celebrated and presented at a particular forum specially organized for that, where all Nigerians attest to the fact that, that policy document is one of its kind that never happened to this country.
