How The Zulum Brothers extricated themselves from meddling in governance

This is Mamman Umara Zulum, elder brother to Borno state Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum. A pious, easy going and islamically knowledgeable person and a business man who, along with his siblings, have been able to keep away from politics and governance of Borno state.
In between him and the Governor, there are other siblings like Bukar Umara Zulum and the surprising thing about them is that despite their affinity with the Governor, they have stayed clear of influence peddling, patronage dispensing or pursuing other narrow minded interests.
In fact, when I run a check on Mamman Umara Zulum by asking very close associates of the Governor about his antecedents, I drew blank as no one knew about him. Everyone I reached out to, asked for time to check out. From his picture, you need not be told that Mamman is a Zulum, yet no one could identify him at first trial.
One of the ironies about Babagana Umara Zulum is that he has drawn a line between his official duties and his personal affinities. Everybody in the family stays on his line while the Governor navigates the state out of its challenges.
