THE REPORTERS Magazine has bestowed an award of philanthropist of the Year 2020 on Ismaila Yushau Maihanci
Chairman and Publisher of the Magazine, Mallam Abdullahi Sabiu explained that the award was in recognition of the man’s enviable contributions to the underprivileged, provision of access to basic education through scholarships and promotion of entrepreneurship.
The recipient, who is a Special Adviser to Governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishaku is also a monarch who holds various titles, namely Danmalikin Zing, Dallatu Old Muri, Dan Iyan Sintali and currently Kauran Gashaka.
The award has coincided with Maihanci’s bithday celebrations.
Recalled that the recipient was also a former House of Reprsentatives aspirant for Jalingo/Yarro/Zing Federal Constituency of Taraba State under the platform of the PDP in 2019.
Responding, Maihanci expressed gratitude to the management of the Magazine for finding him worthy of the award. He then pledged to continue to support the needy, saying the award was an encouragement for him to do more in the service of humanity.
