A stakeholders meeting to prepare grounds for a grand cultural carnival slated for November 2024 in Abuja has taken place in Kaduna.
The meeting ended yesterday with participants from many diverse group of stakeholders including festival organizers, cultural leaders, artists, musicians, and government officials.
Kebbi state like many other states sent representatives in the persons of the Director and Deputy Director of Culture in the Ministry of Information and Culture Malam Yahaya Gulma and Shehu Hassan.
Additionally, tourism officials and travel industry experts participated in the meeting, highlighting the potential of carnivals to drive tourism and economic development in Nigeria.
The meeting provided a platform for participants to engage in constructive dialogue, share best practices, and collaborate on strategies to address common challenges facing the carnival industry in Nigeria.
Kebbi State Commissioner for Information and Culture Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK who was passionate about the importance of the Carnival had assured that Kebbi state is preparing to participate in the main carnival scheduled to take place between 20th – 26th November, 2024 in Abuja.
