Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has accepted the resignation of Major General Muhammad Idris (rtd.), who served as the Commissioner for the newly established Ministry of Internal Security and Special Services. In an official statement issued on Tuesday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa, Governor Yusuf expressed gratitude for the former commissioner’s service during his brief tenure.
Governor Yusuf commended Major General Muhammad Idris (rtd) for his unwavering commitment and contributions, noting that his leadership helped lay a solid foundation for the ministry’s initial operations.
The governor emphasized that, despite the short duration of his service, Idris’s efforts have set a strong groundwork on which his successor can build, ensuring a robust operational pace for the new ministry.
