The Nigeria Oil & Gas Progress has commended President Bola Tinubu for reappointing the Kyari/Ajiya-led management to pilot the affairs of NNPC Limited.
National Coordinator of the group, Tirmizi Imam, in a media statement on Monday evening describes the reappointment as “a big blessing for the oil and gas sector”.
The group explained that with the “vast array of achievements recorded under the Kyari-led management”, the President has made an informed choice of management team and board of Directors.
While wishing the Kyari/Ajiya management more success in their effort to turn around the fortunes of the NNPC, the group tasked all stakeholders of the industry to join hands in the effort to enhance the effectiveness of the oil company.
The group further expressed optimism that by 2024, the NNPC will “give a major lift to Nigerian economy through the export of refined crude and boost its foreign reserves in order to rescue the naira and check inflation”.
