FG Moves to Restore MDAs’ Websites for Better Public Access – Minister

The Federal Government is taking active steps to reactivate the official websites of all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to improve access to government information and services.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, made this known during the fifth edition of the 2025 Ministerial Media Briefing Series held in Abuja on Thursday.

According to Idris, the government has made notable progress in ensuring that MDAs’ websites are functional and regularly updated. He emphasized that the Federal Ministry of Information is leading efforts to enhance digital communication across government agencies.

“We have witnessed significant improvements in the level of activity on government websites compared to previous years. The Ministry of Information is working diligently to ensure these platforms remain operational and provide timely information to Nigerians,” Idris said.

The minister referenced recent initiatives such as the launch of FDM Connect as part of broader efforts to enhance digital access to government services. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to ensuring that all MDAs’ websites are fully reactivated and maintained for seamless public engagement.

Reactivating these websites is expected to boost transparency, improve communication between the government and citizens, and facilitate access to essential public services online.
