Barcelona to Remain at Olympic Stadium as Camp Nou Renovation Continues

Barcelona will continue playing their home matches at the Olympic Stadium for the rest of the season as renovations at Camp Nou progress, the club confirmed on Thursday.

Initially, the club had aimed to return to Camp Nou before the end of the 2024 season, but construction delays have pushed that timeline further. Barcelona informed club members that tickets for the remaining La Liga and Champions League matches would be available at their temporary home, the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, where they have been playing since the 2023–24 season.

When Camp Nou partially reopens next season, it is expected to accommodate around 60,000 fans before full renovations are completed. The stadium’s total capacity will expand to 105,000 once construction concludes, now projected for the summer of 2026.

The rebuild, which began in June 2023, has faced setbacks due to permit issues and concerns over working conditions, leading to the delayed return. Despite these challenges, Barcelona remains committed to finishing the project and returning to their historic home as soon as possible.
