The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the new executives were elected at the 6th Quadrennial State Delegates Conference held in AUPCTRE hall, Ado-Ekiti, on Friday.
The new executives are: Comrade Olusoji Farotimi, Chairman; Caleb Anifowose, Vice Chairman; Sunday Ojo, 2nd Vice Chairman; Grace Ogunlade, Chairperson; Babatope Ajayi, Treasurer and Felix Afolabi, Sec. Finance
Others are: Julius Bamigbade, Sec. Adminstration; Racheal Olawole, State Sec. Welfare; Stella Tewogbade, State Auditor; Abayomi Akinwumi, Ex. Official; Sunday Adebayo, Ex. Official; Dele Adewumi, Ex. Official; Peter Ojo, Ex. Official and Bosede Omoniyi, Ex. Official.
In his remarks, the AUPCTRE National Deputy President, Comrade Ilesanmi Oyesanmi, said the election was free and fair.
He advised the newly elected officials to be hardworking, committed and follow the footsteps of the past leaders of the union.
Oyesanmi urged the chairman to be transparent and be ready to fight for the right of all members in their respective ministries and offices.
“I want to advise the newly elected executive members of AUPCTRE, who have just be swore-in for another four years in office to be transparent, hardworking and be focus to fight for the right of the members.
“The chairman cannot do it alone, hence my appeal to him is to always carry along other executive members to give priority to members’ welfare and promote the good image of the union,” he said.
Similarly, the Pioneer Chairman of AUPCTRE, Ekiti State Council, Mr Lanre Owoeye, urged the new executives to be focused, committed and always work for the benefit of members.
Speaking, the newly elected chairman assured leaders and members of the union of his readiness to serve and prioritise their welfare.
He promised to uphold the trust reposed on him and other executives.
Farotimi noted that his administration would continue to uphold and lead AUPCTRE to a greater heights.
He appealed to the veterans to continue supporting the union, particularly the newly elected executives.
