Nigeria’s sprint queen, Tobi Amusan, is set to launch her 2025 campaign at the season-opening leg of the Diamond League in Xiamen, China, on Saturday, April 26.
The meet, now in its third edition in China, will feature top-tier competition across nine track and seven field events, drawing elite athletes from around the world.
Amusan, the world record holder in the women’s 100m hurdles with a blistering 12.12 seconds, is currently ranked 13th globally. Her season debut will see her go head-to-head with a stacked field, including world indoor record holder Devynne Charlton and reigning world champion Danielle Williams of Jamaica.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the showdown as Amusan aims to reclaim dominance in a fiercely competitive field. The Xiamen opener promises fireworks as the road to the 2025 Diamond League title begins.
