Tinubu/Shettima ticket is Nigeria’s most serious attempt to elect a modern, intellectually sound and tested and proven leadership to redirect the country out of its myriads of challenges.
A Kebbi state based Coalition of Support Groups for Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Kauran Gwandu 2023 (COSGABAT) has appointed Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed-BK (Maibindiga) as its Grand Patron.
The letter of appointment signed by the group’s Coordinator Shehu Usman Shyman was presented at the residence of the appointee in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi state capital this afternoon. The Coordinator was accompanied by a team of other executive council members of the Coalition.
Speaking at the presentation, Shehu Usman said the decision to appoint Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed was taken at an emergency meeting of all the 21 Coordinators of the group at Birnin Kebbi on the 12th of this month. He explained that the appointment was based on the group’s belief that the appointee possesses the qualities to contribute to the attainment of the objectives of the Coalition, which, among others things, is to ensure that the Tinubu /Shettima ticket gets elected in the forthcoming general elections scheduled for 2023.
He also expressed gratitude of the Coalition for the support the appointee has been rendering in the quest to sell the candidature of the duo and what benefits it portends for the country.
In his short speech while accepting the appointment, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed noted that his doors have always been open to individuals and groups who have taken it upon themselves to drum up support for the Tinubu/Shettima candidature. He said a Tinubu Presidency has the potentials of repositioning the country and rejigging its economy to make life meaningful for the citizenry.
He called on Nigerians to disregard the campaign of calumny that is being championed by bigots and politically marooned jesters whose stock in trade is to heat up the polity in their selfish desires to be relevant in the scheme of things. According to him, the Tinubu/Shettima ticket is Nigeria’s most serious attempt to elect a modern, intellectually sound and tested and proven leadership to redirect the country out of its myriads of challenges.
