When I escorted a friend to PPMC recently, I was amazed by the new setting of the environment and even surprised the kind of cordial relationship I saw, between management and staff of the PPMC.
Those of us who are familiar with the administration style of Group Managing Director(GMD) of NNPC, it should not be difficult to figure out the striking similarities between him and the PPMC Managing Director Mallam Isiyaku Abdullahi. He dresses in a humble way just like the GMD. His sense of transparency is applied so copiously you would think it’s the GMD himself applying it.
As an astute manager, I noticed that he deals with facts and figures.
He guards the confidential image of the PPMC like a detective.
My observation
From what I have seen happening during this rather brief visit, I can tell that, with the PIA in place, Nigeria will have uninterrupted supply of petroleum and gas resources.
I say this because the PPMC Managing Director is a man passionate about his job, eager to deliver on his assignment. Many are saying he is the best man for the job. I’m beginning to see why.
All said done, it should be not be difficult for the discerning mind to see that the Managing Director of PPMC is just another Mallam Mele Kyari in another human form. Two of a kind, you would say.
