The Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) has launched an economic empowerment programme in Borno State, providing recapitalization grants to 5,000 women petty traders affected by the recent floods.
This initiative, led by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of the Nigerian president, aims to support victims of the flood disaster.
The programme was flagged off by wife of Borno State governor Dr. Falmata Zulum, who announced a token of ₦50,000 to empower the women in their businesses saying it follows a donation of ₦250,000 million naira for flood-affected victims by Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the gesture and pledged to utilize the funds for the intended purpose.
This initiative is part of the RHI’s efforts to provide economic empowerment and support to vulnerable individuals, particularly women, across Nigeria.
