They used to be a luxury (a distant luxury at that) for the people of Kebbi state. It’s something which we covet but only see when we travel to other state capitals or we see on the TV. Without street lights adorning a state capital, non is a capital in the real sense of it. We had wallowed in self pity because we lacked them. Governor Nasir Idris has conquered that desire such that no street worth the name in Birnin Kebbi is without it. Its ongoing but you can see that the intent is to cover the entire city… and of course the entire state.
It looks so good, so enticing, so beautiful, so welcoming, so awesome and so unbelievable that I just couldn’t resist the urge to joyfully snap away this afternoon.
A reminder that Kebbi has gotten it right this time.
