The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) have announced a new date for the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), shifting the examination from its original date of April 5 to Thursday, April 10, 2025.
The board revealed that the change aims to allow for the completion of essential preparations and the integration of several innovative measures designed to enhance the overall experience for candidates.
According to Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the spokesperson for JAMB, the rescheduling is part of the Board’s commitment to improving the examination process, ensuring it is well-executed and in line with global best practices.
While the Mock UTME will now take place on April 10, the main UTME for 2025 will commence on April 25. Dr. Benjamin emphasized that these changes align with the latest research on examination methodologies, aiming to better meet the needs of both candidates and the broader educational system.
Candidates preparing for the Mock UTME are advised to stay alert for upcoming announcements on when they can print their Mock Notification Slip. This slip will include important details about the location of their examination center.
As always, JAMB’s commitment to improving its examination processes reflects its ongoing efforts to provide a fair, transparent, and efficient system for candidates across Nigeria.
