As anticipation builds for the climax of the Nigeria National League (NNL) season, the league’s management has announced that the venue and date for the 2025 Super Eight Championship playoff will be unveiled next week.
NNL Chairman George Aluo confirmed the update during a chat with Daily Post, stating that discussions are currently ongoing with several state governments interested in hosting the prestigious season-ending event.
“We are at the moment discussing with some states and most likely will make the venue public before the end of this month,” Aluo disclosed.
The Super Eight playoff will feature the top two teams from each of the league’s four groups, making a total of eight teams vying for promotion. At stake are four promotion slots to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), along with the coveted NNL Championship title.
The competition promises high-stakes action as clubs battle for a place in Nigeria’s top football tier. Last season’s tournament saw Beyond Limits FC clinch the title in impressive fashion, setting a high bar for this year’s contenders.
With promotion, prestige, and pride on the line, all eyes are now on the NNL as it prepares to set the stage for what could be a thrilling finale to the 2025 season.
