A group under the auspices of Kaduna New Dawn for Uba Sani, has greeted the people of Kaduna State for their resilience and congratulated them for having “a result-oriented community-friendly” Governor.
A media statement issued by the group’s Coordinator Habeeb Bello Chikaji, said the governor’s speedy efforts to address concerns of the rural dwellers and underserved citizens of the State “is indeed a unique part of the current Nigerian democratic history”.
The group noted that the Kaduna Governor’s initiatives in the area of subsidizing education, provision of healthcare facilities and “thinking out-of-the-box in tackling insecurity in the State” stands him out as a democratic leader.
The group also hailed former Governor Nasir Elrufai for “his revolutionary urban renewal” policy.
In 2007 the United Nations General Assembly resolved to observe 15 September as “the International Day of Democracy—with the purpose of promoting and upholding the principles of democracy—and invited all member states and organizations to commemorate the day in an appropriate manner that contributes to raising public awareness.”
