A political lobby group under the aegis of Taraba Indigenes in Abuja(TIA) has held a strategic support meeting with the Taraba State House of Representatives flagbearer, for Jalingo/Yarro/Zing Federal Constituency Under the umbrella of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Ismaila Yushau Muhammad Maihanchi in Abuja.
The members, numbering 200, unveiled their ideas of support and solidarity to Honorable Maihanci, including pledge to “massively mobilize votes of Taraba electorate to help the candidate win overwhelmingly in the 2023 general elections”.
The group, whose members are established businessmen in Abuja have assured Honorable Maihanci of their unalloyed support in the spirit of “total support for having a young man to represent the good people of Jalingo/Yarro/Zing Federal Constituency Taraba State at the National Assembly next year”.
The group, according to a source inside the meeting, told Maihanci that they were fully in support of “generational power shift, to enable the injection of fresh blood in the State’s politics as from 2023”.
Also speaking at the close of the enlarged meeting, the Spokesman to Hon. Maihanci, Comrade Sani Bamalum told members of the lobby group that it was impressive that they have Taraba State at heart and are not constrained by political party differences, saying ” I’m sure this is beyond PDP and a real demonstration of love for Taraba State by its indigenes who have voters card and can return home whenever the need arises to help our candidate “.
