2023: My Candidacy has no Party Boundary in Nasarawa West – Wadada

Mr Ahmed Wadada, SDP Senatorial Candidate for Nasarawa West Senatorial District said eligible voters across all political parties would vote for him in the 2023 general elections.

Wadada stated this during a town hall meeting with the party’s executives and members in Toto and Nasarawa Local Governments, in Nasarawa Local Government, Nasarawa State, on Wednesday.

He said that meeting was convened to enable him interact and brainstorm with the officials from the Wards to Local Governments, with a view to strengthening the SDP’s structures in the district.

This, according to Wadada, will motivate them to redouble efforts towards ensuring victory for the party in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

” I am here together with the leadership of my campaign council to interact with the executives as part of strategy to strengthen the party’s structures at the grassroot.

” I will also visit and brainstorm with the officials in the remaining three LGAs that made up the district, which are Karu, Kokona and Keffi.

” This is with a view to motivating them and set machineries in motion ahead of the commencement of my campaigns soon,” Wadada said.

The former two-term member of the House of Representatives, therefore, enjoined the leadership of the party to ensure internal party democracy, respect for rule of law, justice and fairness to all members of the party.

Wadada urged his supporters to shun all forms of violence and ensure rancour-free campaign, saying: ” God is doing the fight for us.

He added: ” I have supporters across all political parties in Nasarawa West and eligible voters across all political parties will vote for my candidacy in 2023 elections.

” My candidacy has no party boundary. I represent hope and aspirations of all progressives element.

“Therefore, I call on the electorate to vote for a competent candidate across all political parties.

“We should vote for candidates based on their antecedents and contributions to the development of society.”

Earlier, the Chairman of SDP in Nasarawa Local Government, Mr Tukura Agalabe, commended Wadada for reviving SDP in Nasarawa West Senatorial District.

He reiterated the commitment of the party’s leadership to continue to mobilise support for Wadada with a view to ensuring his victory in the 2023 elections.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports the meeting was attended by the teeming supporters of Wadada from across all the 59 electoral wards in five Local Governments that made up the district. (NAN)
