President Muhammadu Buhari is set to unveil the new NNPC Limited.
The epoch-making event, according to the CEO of NNPC Ltd , Mallam Mele Kyari, will take place on July 19, 2022.
Announcing the unveiling in Abuja on Tuesday at the opening ceremony of the
NOGConference, Mallam Kyari said: “The meaning of this is that our industry is going to have a partner of choice that will be the largest capitalized company in Africa and will focus on the commercial value of every engagement it does.”
Mallam Kyari said as the “world embraces gas as EnergyTransition fuel, we must aggressively explore for gas. To do this,we should seek to fund gas exploration especially as the PIA has provided incentives for gas development.”
According to him, “Having huge gas reserves gives us the opportunity to improve access to energy while minimizing carbon footprints. In this regard,NNPCLimited offers a lineup of investment opportunities that guarantee positive returns across the energy value chain.”
